I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
